  • Apply to a  job, wait (1) day, then call.  Give them your first and last name. Tell them you submitted an application and that you’re very motivated to find [Enter field name] work. Let the conversation lead you wherever it takes. Be very polite. Say” thank you for your time, I’ll be looking forward to hearing back from you.” Rinse, repeat. This is to force them to be looking out for your application.
  •  When you get to the interview, shake their hand firmly,  tell them your first and last name.
  • Describe your experiences  as “ two years transcription and data entry” if you have a desk job interview and “ [however many years]  costumer service, retail and stock” for your retail jobs.
  • Don’t use job “ buzz words” I stg they hear them all day. Say  things like, “ I’m detail oriented and am very good at taking instruction.”  “ I would like to work for a company with integrity and I feel that [ company name] would be a good fit”
  • When they ask you if you have “reliable transportation” say  YES. don’t tell them what kind of transportation, just say yes. (if you don’t do this, you wont get the job , I’m telling you right now).
  • Research the company. Know what they do, why they do it, how OLD the company is. WHERE it was founded, and what kind of position you’re intending to apply for.
  • When they ask you “ give us a situation where you had to blah blah blah” Make one the fuck up. Make yourself sound good as hell, and like you put your company’s needs slightly above the customer’s needs, but make the customer happy.
  • If they ask you about being outgoing, Say you “like to focus on your work so you can concentrate on doing things right” (which buys you out of having to act friendly all the time)

Questions for after the interview:

1.  Does this position offer upward mobility?

2. Do you enjoy working for the company? (if you’re not interviewing for a temp agency who will send you anywhere)

  •  Then, shake their hand,  Ask them to repeat their name (REMEMBER THIS) say thank you for your time, wish them a nice day and leave. write their name down outside if you have to, just remember the fuck out of it.
  • AFTER your interview, send a card directed to the name of the person who interviewed you (I’ll give you them) that says “Thank you for the interview, I appreciate the opportunity. have a great day” This shows  that you have an understanding of professionalism, and will have them thinking of you kindly (or at least remembering you) when they’re shuffling through the choices.
  • DO NOT tell them you just moved to the city over the phone.  In person, tell them you just moved to the city. Make it sound like the only reason you need a job is because you moved. Not because you’re desperate.

I knew this but I’m reblogging cause someone might not know

I’m saving this.

This helped me get a job

Throwing up the hacks for y’all

for anyone who might need this

All of this is really good advice –

My addition would be to find out the name of the interviewer you’re meeting with before hand and pepper their name while you talk throughout the whole interview, but not too much and I emphasis the part about shaking their hand, thanking them for their time and saying their name when you do it

couple tips I want to add. if you the interviewer repeats a question that means you didn’t sufficently answer  a question and they are giving you a chance to give a better answer. remembering you are basically trying to convince them that your experience or personality is righ for their job, take a moment, reconsider and provide new info.

also an interviewer may ask you “Tell me about yourelf?”  you basically want to talk about how your experience or whatever makes you qualified for the job.

NP Q&D Oakwood Plains

So as I mentioned yesterday I’m moving Runaway Yager, she’s a day shy from young adulthood and I just want a more stable world to build her family in. I could probably get through the generation where I am but I want something that will last at least a couple so I can just enjoy playing. So enter Oakwood Plains by Simleigh which I’ve edited for my specific tastes. So what does that mean you ask well…. let’s hightlight what this world does and doesn’t have so I don’t get complaints later.

1. There’s only one residential lot over 20×30 as I’m just using my well tested little tract homes for my save file. The one big lot is by the beach and in the very last picture in the set so you know where to find it. Juno will be living here in my game.

2. There are no spawners really at all. If the OC had some fish spawners in the ocean I didn’t remove them but I also don’t recall seeing them either in CAW so may not get much use fishing here. Honestly I might fix that, fishing doesn’t bother me like other things do. The reason I do this is  I don’t like my sims running all over the map and getting stuck up the side of mountains so I make parks specifically setup for sims to do collecting in.

3. The routing is very restrictive. I left it open around the waterways and obviously where people should actually be but I disabled routing in a lot of the clusters of forested parts to prevent sims from getting stuck in those areas.

4. I have only quick tested this, it may have problems! I will upload another version down the road IF I find a lot of issues that need fixing. Please let me know if you encounter anything awful.

Okay so now that all the not fun parts are done you can snag this baby for yourself if you’re still interested:

Nova Park’s quick and dirty Oakwood Plains

*Credits of course to Simleigh, if you’re out that and have a new blog let me know and I’ll properly tag credit you here. I also replaced some textures with ones by @nilxis as I pretty much will ALWAYS do. *

10 Hard Yoga Poses by Hyperkaos

TOU: No pay sites, etc. Don’t claim these as yours please. Otherwise enjoy, life’s too short to do anything else.

I haven’t had a chance to use them, but it doesn’t mean you can’t.

The download is poselist compatible but you can see what the codes are above, rather easy and obvious. 🙂

These were made for Tso, when I had Nora posed 7 was a little bit off. 8 and 9 do not fully reach the ground. Sims were not made to do complex yoga poses.
