Secretly Pining thingy from yesterday for Marley and Nik, surprise me for the number :P

“I mean, sure, B is attractive. I have eyes. But that doesn’t mean anything.”

((I literally wrote out a few paragraphs and then hit refresh because I’m a do-do brain.))

It was early and Nik was groggy from working all night, but he and Sebastian made a promise to meet every Saturday morning to dish about their weeks and so far neither one of them had broken their promise. If he were truly honest, he really enjoyed the time they spent, it gave him a sense of familiarity, they had formed a bond that Nik hadn’t had with someone in a while.

“What’s up?” Nik heard from over his shoulder.

“What’s up, Bash?” Nik responded as he stood up and gave bash a brief hug.

“You got me a Vanilla Bean Frap?” Bash pointed to the drink sitting across from Nik with a smile.

“Yeah, man… You always spend forever looking over the menu just to get the same thing every time so I just got it for you.” He laughed as he sipped his own latte.

“I went first last time… Your turn” Bash sat down in the seat across from Nik and smiled awaiting for Nik to dish about his week.

“Shiiiit, same thing as last week pretty much… just working, but I had a date the other night.” he nodded before sipping his latte again.

“And?…” Bash asked with a slight smirk on his face.

“And… It went well. I mean, it was just the dinner and a movie kinda thing. We vibed okay… but I don’t even think I’m interested in really dating nobody.” Nik shrugged.

“Well, who was the girl?” Bash asked curiously.

“Uh… Marley.” Nik cleared his throat. “Marley Blake… you know the dancer?” Nik added, trying to help Bash place a face with the name.

“Oh, yeah yeah yeah. Short chick with brown hair? Yeah, I’ve seen her around. She cute, real cute. Why you ain’t tryna fuck?” Bash prodded. 

“It ain’t nothing like that. I mean, sure, Marley is attractive. I have eyes. But that doesn’t mean anything. Like… I’m just busy, and I don’t wanna get involved with someone when I can’t give them the time a relationship requires.” Nik lied through his teeth. He wasn’t trying to hide his feelings or his exact reason, but he himself wasn’t even sure of the reason.

“I feel it…” Bash sipped his own drink.
