Who said “I love you” first? Delilah. Who would have the other’s picture as their phone background? Probably both. Who leaves notes written in fog on the bathroom mirror? Both? That’s some cute shit. Who buys the other cheesy gifts? Nik probably more. Who initiated the first kiss? Nik? I can’t remember. Who kisses the other awake in the morning? Delilah probably. Who starts tickle fights? NIK! Who asks who if they can join the other in the shower? Both Who surprises the other in the middle of the day at work with lunch? Nik Who was nervous and shy on the first date? Delilah Who kills/takes out the spiders? Nik for sure. Who loudly proclaims their love when they’re drunk? Nik.
Today we decided to go look at potential homes for Nik to purchase in the future. We looked at a handful of homes (all of which were out of price range.. thanks Martin..) a few of which really caught our eye. We haven’t found the home that suits all of our needs just yet, but our realtor has set up a few more showings in a few weeks.
The feeling I felt like helping Nik look for houses yesterday was really special. Him and I have always had a special connection.. even since high school. To be helping him purchase his first home for our child just completely amazes me. I won’t ramble on as to how happy & blessed I am.. (I’ll save that for a later post) but I just wanted to share how right yesterday felt.

Milestones? There hasn’t really been a big one, I mean besides seeing baby’s heartbeat.
Bump?A tiny one.
Alright so they met in high school, senior year, he thought she was pretty cute and they hungout/hooked up often in high school. Nik was an asshole kinda and high school is a weird time for everyone so even though he liked her and they never really “dated dated” because of how people perceived her. A lot of people talked shit about her and Nik was a coward who didn’t want to lose his popularity so he kinda hungout with her on the low and when they did hangout publicly he kept it just friendly and nothing more.
This is about the time he met Bella, he liked Bella but he like Delilah still as well. One day out of the blue Delilah stopped talking to Nik and he took it as her being down with his shit so he started hanging out with Bella more and eventually started dating her.
Things were going pretty well with Bella and Nik, Delilah messaged Nik and said that she was happy he was happy or something and he said he missed her and that they should hang out platonically. They did and Nik felt feelings for her and out of respect to Bella decided that he and Delilah shouldn’t hangout anymore. At this time, Bella was hanging out with a guy who liked her and ended up kissing her. This irritated Nik especially after she continued hanging out with said guy after the kiss. Nik thought if she’s hanging out with him I’ll hangout with Delilah, he still kept it platonic but Bella didn’t like it. Around this time, Nik got in his car accident. Bella was there the whole time he was unconscious but so was the guy who liked her. Delilah found out Nik was in the hospital and came to visit him, he was pretty upset with that guy being with Bella at the hospital while he was unconscious and he felt like Delilah had never done anything to him like that so they kissed and that pretty much was where Bella and him started going down hill.
He left the country when he got well enough and when he came back to the US, he and Delilah linked back up and it was pretty much like he never left. That’s pretty much how it always is for them picking right back up where they left off, no matter what.
She got pregnant and lost the baby right around the time Nik decided to start dating people. They went on a date and she needed space to herself to cope with her loss, which Nik understood because he lost his own child.
When he came back from Bora Bora with Colbie, Delilah was feeling better and they talked again. Since Nik had taken a week off from work he had to work a lot to make up his hours and Delilah was constantly checking on him making sure he ate or got enough sleep. When he and Colbie got into an argument she was there trying to settle the situation and understand from her point of view.
In the end, Delilah just always has his best interest at heart even if it has nothing to her. Like she’d be okay with him being with someone else as long as he was happy.
